In a bid to keep up the legacy of His Grace, the late Archbishop Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, the Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga Foundation – ACKLAF continues its mission of restoring hope, showing love, and caring for those most in need, especially the elderly in our communities.

Every month, thousands of girls in Uganda pack their books, put on their uniforms, and walk to school with big dreams.
But for 6 out of every 10 girls, that journey is interrupted, not by laziness, not by lack of ambition, but by something natural, human, and often spoken about in whispers: their period.

Right now, as schools reopen for back-to-school, hundreds of deserving students are at risk of staying home. Not because they lack ability, but because they lack a bursary, a textbook, a meal, or the chance to learn a skill that can change their trajectory.

As recalled in a recent public lecture, for Archbishop Lwanga, health began at home. He championed hygiene through the Women’s Department and established the Model Home office, entrusting it to religious sisters who went door-to-door teaching the first principles of Primary Health Care.

Hundreds of faithful gathered at Kyabakadde Catholic Parish Church on Wednesday, April 15, to mark the 2nd memorial Day of the late Archbishop Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, former Archbishop of Kampala. The solemn Mass was led by Archbishop Emeritus Dr. Augustine Kasujja, retired former Apostolic Nuncio to Belgium and Luxembourg, who delivered a moving homily celebrating Archbishop Lwanga’s life of zeal, service, and compassion.

On Saturday, 28th September 2024, His Grace Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere, Archbishop of Kampala Archidiocese officially commissioned and blessed offices of the Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga Foundation at Kyabakadde.
