Right now, as schools reopen for back-to-school, hundreds of deserving students are at risk of staying home. Not because they lack ability, but because they lack a bursary, a textbook, a meal, or the chance to learn a skill that can change their trajectory.
As recalled in a recent public lecture, for Archbishop Lwanga, health began at home. He championed hygiene through the Women’s Department and established the Model Home office, entrusting it to religious sisters who went door-to-door teaching the first principles of Primary Health Care.
Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga Foundation was founded in 2022 to preserve and promote the vision of His Grace, the late Archbishop, who tirelessly championed justice, spiritual depth, youth formation, and service to the vulnerable.
